Researchers analyzed the electronic health records of more than 18,000 US patients between May 2022 and September 2023 to compare outcomes among those receiving the two injected medicines, and published the results in JAMA Internal Medicine. Tampons contain concentrations of several metals, including lead, arsenic, and zinc, according to a new study, but more research is needed to determine if it could affect people’s health. Researchers evaluated 16 metals across 14 different tampon brands and found “measurable concentrations” of all the metals evaluated. This included toxic metals such as lead, cadmium and arsenic, and high levels of calcium and zinc compared to the other metals. South Korea's government said it will withdraw an earlier plan to suspend striking doctors' licenses. Thousands of junior doctors went on strike in February to protest the government's plan to increase school admissions. It wasn't immediately known how many would return to work after the latest announcement. Health Minister Cho Kyoo-Hong said the government has decided not to suspend the licenses of the strikers, regardless of whether they return to their hospitals.
