The UFL’s Arlington Renegades used a lofty pick to select Steelers quarterback John Rhys Plumlee. The former Central Florida star was the third overall pick of the league in Thursday’s draft. Now, Rhys Plumlee is headed to training camp with the Steelers. That doesn’t change with the UFL draft. Camp starts next Wednesday in Latrobe, Pa. But if Plumlee doesn’t work out in Pittsburgh, he has a fall-back option with the Renegades, a team that’s coached by Bob Stoops, formerly of the Oklahoma Sooners. The Renegades play their games in a converted MLB stadium down the street from AT&T Stadium, home...

As the Colorado Buffaloes move to the Big 12 in 2024, Deion Sanders received a ton of coverage at the conference’s media days earlier this week. However, another high-profile coach calls the conference home now, and that’s Gus Malzahn of the UCF Knights. Malzahn and UCF came to the Big 12 last season, and their first year in the conference was a mixed bag. However, many are picking UCF to be a major player in the Big 12 in 2024, due to Malzahn’s ability and the addition of quarterback KJ Jefferson. We won’t have to wait long to see who has the upper-hand between Sanders and Malzahn, as their p...

Gus Malzahn has found another quarterback out of the NCAA transfer portal for UCF. Former Arkansas star KJ Jefferson will be taking over in Orlando, hoping to steer the Knights in a positive direction in the program’s second-ever Big 12 season. The first thing you notice when looking at Jefferson is his 6-3, 247-pound frame. Arkansas was not afraid to use him in the run game, something Malzahn plans to do as well. But just from a physical standpoint, Jefferson is similar to a legendary quarterback Malzahn worked with while at Auburn. “Dual-threat guy,” Malzahn said on Wednesday at Big 12 Media...
