Jackson (Fla.) Mandarin High School five-star wide receiver Jaime Ffrench returned to Tennessee this weekend for another look at the Vols during their annual Memorial Day weekend 865 Live event. Following the visit, Volquest caught up with Ffrench and got his thoughts on the trip.

Ffrench enjoyed the activities the staff had planned for recruits such as a scavenger hunt, and the opportunity to spend time around fellow elite prospects during this visit.

“Man, really just enjoyed being around the people and being around them without the recruiting pitch,” Ffrench said of this. “Just getting a feel for the people and being around Knoxville. That is it.”

Ffrench has continued to see his relationship grow with Kelsey Pope, and the two spent plenty of time together on Saturday.

“Me and coach Pope have a tight relationship,” he said of Pope. “I would say what stands out is his brotherhood. He keeps that with his receiver room. The chance to get to work with him is awesome.”

Ffrench says he plans to make an announcement sometime around August before school starts. He will return to Tennessee the weekend of June 14th for an official visit with the Vols.
