A-list actress Jennifer Aniston grew up in New York City and as the daughter of actors, her career path was no surprise.

"I feel like I didn’t have any choice,” she laughed. “I didn’t have a lot of confidence in myself to do anything else but pretend."

Here are Aniston’s 10 favorite roles and what the 54-year-old actress says they mean to her.

Molloy (1990)

"I have a graveyard of sitcoms that you all don’t know about. I was happy to get a job every year whether it went on or not. I’ve never sat there and plotted out how I was going to become successful or famous," Aniston explained.

Leprechaun (1993)

While the horror flick is "so embarrassing" to her nowadays, Aniston admitted, "I really thought I arrived when I did Leprechaun. It was a big deal! I really did think it was an amazing thing that I was in a movie."

Friends (1994)

"We really loved each other, and we took care of each other. I don’t know why it still resonates. It’s just people talking to each other. Maybe nobody talks to each other anymore," Aniston noted.

Office Space (1999)

Mega

Despite becoming a big TV star, "I was excited about doing a comedy like Office Space. Features like that weren’t flying my way at that point. I don’t think I was the biggest anything at the time."

The Good Girl (2002)

Mega

"I thought I would be a laughingstock. And one of my greatest fears is being laughed at. The weird thing was people were like, 'Hey, she’s really an actress,’ as if I were just some b------- comedienne before."

Bruce Almighty (2003)

Mega

Her turn in Bruce Almighty was something she could believe in since “I don’t have a religion. I believe in a God. I don’t know what it looks like, but it’s my God."

Marley & Me (2008)

Mega

Aniston admitted the film unleashed her unwavering love of dogs: "They pick me up if I need it, they always greet me when I come home, and they never complain about anything. I wish I was like that."

Horrible Bosses (2011)

Mega

"I love Dr. Julia. I don’t have that instinct in me to be horrible at all. She’s so unapologetic and confident and just insanely wrong in so many ways that it’s just so much fun to play," she said of her character.

The Morning Show (2019)

Mega

Aniston said she and Reese Witherspoon have "been in each other’s lives for 20-something years. We’re partners. We’re friends. We share all sorts of heartbreaks in life and love and everything."

Murder Mystery 2 (2023)

Mega

Her friendship with Adam Sandler was "lightning in a bottle. We’re just really lucky that we’ve had this insanely wonderful friendship. My friendships keep me true, and they keep me real ... and vice versa."
