The odds for the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series title have been updated following a five-overtime thriller at Nashville Superspeedway in the Ally 400.

It may have taken forever to finish the race, but Joey Logano wasn’t complaining, as the two-time Cup Series champion made his tank of gas last longer than anyone, capturing the win and locking himself into the playoffs, as well. Now, he’ll have the opportunity to race for his third title in 2024.

The win from Logano had a major effect on the playoff standings, as drivers like Alex Bowman, Bubba Wallace, Kyle Busch and Chase Briscoe now likely need a win to get into the dance. As the campaign continues forward, here are the fully updated NASCAR Cup Series title odds, courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook.

Denny Hamlin (+450)

Denny Hamlin wasn’t too happy with Kyle Larson, or any of his peers, following the Ally 400. If not for a myriad of incidents, the No. 11 would’ve found Victory Lane, and won his fourth race of the 2024 campaign.

Moving forward, Hamlin will be hoping to capture his fourth win of the season in Chicago, a race where he finished P11 last season. Still, he’s a favorite to win week-in and week-out, no matter the type of track NASCAR conjures up.

Christopher Bell (+450)

Christopher Bell

An accident ended Christopher Bell’s afternoon early in Nashville, and ruined his bid for a fourth win of 2024. The No. 20 wheelman came home P36, a disappointing finish after his sweep last weekend in New Hampshire.

While Bell is a threat to win at any track, he didn’t have the best race in Chicago last season. The No. 20 finished P18, so he’ll have to do better than that if he’s to get back on track this weekend in the Grant Park 165, after a disappointing afternoon in Nashville.

Kyle Larson (+450)

Kyle Larson

Nobody had a more hectic afternoon in Nashville than Kyle Larson. After looking primed to win the race multiple times, Larson wrecked, ran out of fuel and somehow worked his way back up to a P8 finish, all in overtime of the Ally 400.

With all the victories Larson has to his name, a win in Chicago would mean the world to the Hendrick superstar. He came home P4 in 2024, so there’s some merit for Larson getting to Victory Lane in the Grant Park 165 on Sunday.

William Byron (+550)

William Byron Atlanta Cup Series

Another mediocre afternoon has William Byron wondering what he needs to do to get back to his winning ways. The Hendrick Motorsports wheelman has three wins on the season, but he’s sputtered a bit over the last month and change, capped off with a P19 finish in Nashville.

Maybe that’ll all change for Byron when the Cup Series heads to Chicago. Last season, Byron came home P13 in the Grant Park 165, so he’s run well enough. Perhaps he can punch above his weight-class this weekend.

Ryan Blaney (+1000)

Ryan Blaney

Throughout all the chaos in Nashville, Ryan Blaney was able to secure a solid finish to the afternoon. The Team Penske wheelman finished P6 in the Music City, while he watched with glee as his teammate Joey Logano scored the win.

While Chicago was a little bit of a slog for Blaney in 2023, qualifying P17 and finishing P33, he’s shown some mettle on all different types of tracks in 2024. We’ll see if the reigning champion can give Chicago something to cheer on Sunday afternoon.

Chase Elliott (+1000)

Chase Elliott

In the past, Chase Elliott has had some serious success in Nashville, but it wasn’t meant to be on Sunday afternoon. The No. 9 ended up finishing P18 on the afternoon, not exactly where the Hendrick Motorsports star wanted to end up in the Music City.

During last season’s trip to Chicago, Elliott was one of the lone Cup Series wheelmen who had something for Shane van Gisbergen, but it wasn’t meant to be. The No. 9 came home P3, so he’ll be looking to get to Victory Lane this time around.

Joey Logano (+1400)

Joey Logano has rejuvenated his 2024 campaign with a win in Nashville. While he was right around the cut-line on points alone, it was a dangerous spot for the two-time champion to be in, and now he’s officially locked into the Cup Series playoffs.

Can Logano make it back-to-backs win? He already captured an awesome trophy during the All-Star Race in May, but a victory in the Grant Park 165 would be a milestone win for the Team Penske wheelman, and continue moving him up the standings.

Martin Truex Jr. (+1400)

Like many of his peers, Martin Truex Jr. was in position to steal a win during one of the overtime sessions, but the No. 19 couldn’t make it stick, and he ended up coming home P24 when it was all said and done. He’s still looking for his first win, in what’s now his final full-time season in the Cup Series.

Perhaps his first win of 2024 could come this weekend in Chicago? Truex Jr. came home P32 at the track in 2023, so it wasn’t a good afternoon for him, but better luck could be on the horizon for the Joe Gibbs Racing star.

Tyler Reddick (+1400)

Tyler Reddick

Tyler Reddick almost came out of nowhere to win in Nashville. He simply couldn’t get by Joey Logano after rocketing to the front in the fifth overtime, but the 23XI Racing wheelman can be satisfied with his podium finish in P3.

While Reddick started on the front row in Chicago in 2023, he finished P28 on the afternoon. The exciting wheelman will be hoping to fare much better than that in NASCAR’s return to the track in 2024.

Moving forward, we’ll see if any other drivers make a similar leap, with an unpredictable race this weekend in the Chicago Street Race taking center stage.
