Dog Almost Ruins Ree Drummond’s Daughter’s Gender Reveal!

The Pioneer Woman Rea Drummond’s daughter recently shared the news on social media that she and her husband were expecting their first child. Now, they’re sharing a gender reveal that was hilariously nearly ruined by the couple’s adorable Golden Retriever, George.

“We can’t wait to meet you, little one,” she wrote on Instagram. “Baby Scott joining the party this winter!”

This will be the Drummond family’s first grandchild.

Per Alex’s Instagram stories, the couple had known for a few weeks if they were having a girl or boy. However, they wanted to wait a little bit before telling the world.

On June 30, they posted the cutest gender reveal. With their golden retriever George, they had their furry family member bite into a dog cupcake with frosting inside that would reveal whether they were having a boy or a girl.

Theoretically, he would bite half, showing the middle color of the cupcake — either pink or blue.

Unfortunately, that didn’t quite go as planned.

As her husband Mauricio holds the cupcake in front of George, the pup didn’t stop when the soon-to-be dad tried to pull away. What’s left in his hand is just the top frosting.

Perplexed, they laugh and try again with another cupcake. This time it was successful!

After biting into half, the soon-to-be father shows the camera that the cupcake is pink inside!

It’s a girl!

Ree was quick to add her excitement to the growing comment section.

“Thank you God for the gift of daughters,” she writes. “We are so happy! Ladd will have her on a horse by the age of two.”

Ree and her husband Ladd have five children together.

Alex and Mauricio said “I Do” in 2021 with a breathtaking wedding on the Drummond family ranch.
