The year was 1984. A rather unfamiliar country artist named Lee Greenwood released a song that he wrote and recorded, called “God Bless the U.S.A.”
It’s now been 40 years since the song’s release, and each year on the Fourth of July, the song gets resurrected all across America, and played at picnics, fireworks displays and get togethers all across this great land.
