Journalist says Paris Saint-Germain have now opened talks to sign Man City transfer target

Manchester City have signed numerous players from some of Europe’s top clubs in recent years.

For example, Pep Guardiola’s side have secured deals for the likes of Josko Gvardiol, Mateo Kovacic and Erling Haaland in recent memory.

Having won another Premier League trophy at the end of their previous campaign, the Manchester club have since been linked with numerous players ahead of and during the current summer transfer window.

Now – however – some information has come to light regarding another top club in Europe who have set their sights on signing someone City have had on their radar recently.

Paris Saint-Germain set sights on signing Man City target Joshua Kimmich

In a recent post shared on his X account, journalist Fabrice Hawkins had this to say on the matter.

He said: “Faced with the difficulties encountered in the Joao Neves case, PSG REACTIVATES the track [of] Joshua Kimmich.

“Negotiations to try to find an agreement with JK. Bayern opened the door to the versatile midfielder who has one year left on his contract and who has not extended.”

City should not miss out on signing Kimmich

Earlier this week, it was reported by Caught Offisde that the Bayern Munich midfielder is determined to join City, who he said last year he considers to be the number one club in Europe, this summer rather than enter the final year of his contract at the German club.

During his time with Bayern, the 29-year-old has scored 42 goals and delivered 104 assists in 390 appearances across all competitions whilst playing in numerous defensive and midfield positions.

In our view, given his experience, versatility and ability to score and deliver goals, we feel that if City have an opportunity to sign Kimmich this summer, they should do all they can to make it happen and stop PSG from snatching him away from them.
