4-star WR Jayvan Boggs commits to Missouri

Cocoa (Fla.) four-star wide receiver Jayvan Boggs has committed to Missouri.

He chose the Tigers over UCF, as well as USC, Georgia and more than 20 other reported offers.

Boggs, a one-time Ohio State pledge, decommitted from the Buckeyes in March. He then trimmed his list to seven in April, then to four before the summer. However, the Tigers and Knights were the only programs to receive official visits.

After the two trips, he’s made the call for Eli Drinkwitz and Co. giving them their sixth blue-chip commitment of the cycle and second receiver. Boggs joins Ironton (Ohio) three-star speedster Shaun Terry in the Tigers’ class.

Boggs is the No. 222 overall prospect in the 2025 class, according to the On3 Industry Ranking, a weighted average that utilizes all four major recruiting media companies. He also ranks as the nation’s No. 30 wide receiver and No. 32 recruit in the Sunshine State.

Tigers looking to add to a growing 2025 haul

Missouri entered April with zero commitments this cycle, but now has 13 in total just a few months later. Seven prospects made the call in favor of the SEC program in Columbia in that month alone. None were bigger than Royersford (Pa.) Spring-Ford five-star quarterback Matt Zollers, who kicked things off by committing on April 4.

“My connections at Missouri were just greater than they were anywhere else,” Zollers told On3 upon his commitment.

Since adding the elite gunslinger, the Tigers staff wasted no time adding building blocks around Zollers. Belleville (Ill.) Althoff Catholic three-star defensive lineman Jason Dowell was the next to pledge on April 19. The flood gates opened from there.

Canton (Ohio) McKinley four-star linebacker Dante McClellan and Geismar (La.) Dutchtown three-star EDGE Joshua Lewis each committed on April 22. Eureka (Mo.) four-star offensive tackle Jack Lange — a top-200 overall recruit and the No. 1 prospect in Missouri — followed suit two days later.

“It’s close to home,” Lange told On3. “When I think of what I want in a college town, campus, academics and football, it’s everything that I want and I’m really excited to be a part of it. I’ve been told by Missouri’s coaches that I’m going to be a pillar in this recruiting class. I want to be able to help bring guys in and build this class up to something that’s really special. With me and Matt Zollers, I think we can really turn this thing into something that’s going to be great.”

Saint Louis DeSmet three-star LB Jason King and four-star EDGE Daeden Hopkins rounded out a spectacular month on the trail for the Tigers. In June, they added to the class with four-star interior lineman Henry Fenuku, safety Dyllon Williams, Terry, three-star cornerback Mark Manfred, and four-star running back Jamarion Morrow, one of the nation’s top all-purpose backs.

The Tigers’ class ranks No. 18 in the nation and No. 9 in the SEC, according to the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.
