Exclusive: Man United want two players sold by next week, Juventus in contact to sign them both

Manchester United are hoping they will be able to offload some players before their return to Carrington over the coming days.

Erik ten Hag‘s future at Manchester United is now secured having put pen to paper on a contract extension until 2026.

However, United are yet to really get their summer window up and running with no new faces having come through the doors at Old Trafford and a number of players departing at the end of their deals.

But TBR Football understands Juventus have now spoken to Manchester United about both Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood.

Manchester United speak to Juventus over Jadon Sancho and Mason Greenwood

New Juventus manager Thiago Motta is keen to bolster his right-sided options and they are ready to sell Federico Chiesa this summer.

United would ideally like to sell both players – but they are open to new loan deals, as the pair spent last term on loan away from Old Trafford, and both were hugely impressive for Borussia Dortmund and Getafe.

TBR Football understands United would like deals in place for Greenwood and Sancho by next week – as in theory they would be due to report back for pre-season training.

Borussia Dortmund remain keen on bringing Sancho back to Germany, whilst Greenwood has interest in Spain, Germany and other clubs Italy.

No second opportunity for Jadon Sancho at Manchester United

Having spent the second half of the campaign out on loan back at Borussia Dortmund, United are not looking to offer Sancho a second crack at the whip at Old Trafford.

The Englishman impressed for Dortmund with Rio Ferdinand waxing lyrical about the 24-year-old following his displays for the German side.

“We asked for Sancho to put in a performance, a lot to prove and he’s showing it,” Ferdinand told TNT Sports back in April.

“He’s left Manchester United under a cloud, he’s now in a Champions League semi-final against PSG. Who could have written that script? He wouldn’t have seen that coming.”

Having spent £73m on Sancho back in 2021, United look set to take a monumental loss on the winger with just two years left on his current deal.
