Our Justin Wells and Eric Nahlin dive into the 2025 recruiting cycle and the latest bad beats in the last week. They reset the recruiting big board and break down what’s next for WR recruiting and more as the Horns expect a few decisions to drop over the next six weeks.

They begin at 2025 wide receiver recruiting after the commitment of five-star Dakorien Moore to Oregon on July 4th. The Horns remain in the hunt for fellow five-star’s Kaliq Lockett and Jaime Ffrench, while in the mix for four-star’s Kelshaun Johnson, Tanook Hines, and Daylan McCutcheon.
All five remaining targets will announce their decisions between July 8th-mid August. Texas wants at least three in this cycle and will likely snag a few from that group.
The duo pivots to defensive line recruiting, after Josiah Sharma’s commitment to Oregon, and the impending de-commitment from Brandon Brown. They’ll continue to push for DJ Sanders and FSU commit Myron Charles, while surveying the national scene for any top-notch interior defenders.
On the bright side, the Horns remain in a great spot for five-star OT Michael Fasusi and others, and that includes snagging commitments from Dia Bell, Smith Orogbo, and John Mills over the last two weeks.
