On Friday evening, Houston Astros outfielder Joey Loperfido defied physics. In the bottom of the eighth inning of the Astros’ win over the Minnesota Twins, Loperfido robbed a two-run homer at the right field fence.
While reaching over the fence and snagging the ball would have been impressive, Loperfido took the highlight play a step further. Loperfido hauled the ball in with his glove only for it to pop out when his hand hit the fence. Instead of giving up on the play, Loperfido caught the ball with his bare hand.
