'Incredibly excited about it': Kilman shares specific thing about West Ham that's got him buzzing

Max Kilman has opened up on all things West Ham United, since completing his £40 million move from Wolves.

West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui has secured his primary summer target in the form of Max Kilman, and now the addition of a new centre-forward should be next up on the Spaniard’s agenda.

Kilman was the club captain at Wolves during Lopetegui’s time in charge at Molineux, so the Hammers boss will be well aware of exactly what he’s getting.

The Sporting Director at Molineux Matt Hobbs has already outlined how ungrateful Wolves fans will miss Kilman now that he’s gone.

One thing that I’m absolutely sure about is the fact that the 27-year-old centre-back will be a big upgrade on both Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd.

£40 million sounds like an awful lot of money for someone like Kilman, but I’m positive he’ll prove to be more than worth that fee.

West Ham conceded 74 Premier League goals last season, so central defence was clearly an area that required urgent attention.

Lopetegui has addressed that specific problem with the signing of Kilman, and the former Wolves man should add some real solidarity to our back-line.

What is he specifically excited about ahead of making his Hammers debut though?

Kilman is clearly buzzing about his move to join West Ham, and the Hammers fans will undoubtedly be very excited to see the 6ft 4in man mountain in action for us.

After completing his move to the London Stadium, Kilman shared his excitement with the club’s official website.

The 27-year-old defender said, “West Ham is a massive Club and I feel this is the natural next step forward in my career.”

Kilman continued, “Playing in front of a passionate fan-base, with 62,500 supporters packing out London Stadium every other week, is something I am incredibly excited about.”

Now, I know we all moan about the London Stadium, and we’re all fully aware that it will never be Upton Park.

However, I think the time has now come when we all need to make the best of our home arena. The West Ham fans have proven in the past that we can generate good atmospheres.

Just look at the 2022 Europa League tie with Sevilla, or the Europa Conference League games against AZ Alkmaar and Gent during the 2022/23 season.

The fact that new West Ham signing Max Kilman has highlighted how excited he is to play at the London Stadium proves what a fantastic arena it is.

I’m just hoping that the powers that be at the club do the best they can to make the necessary changes required to help us make the London Stadium the fortress it should be.
