Cremaschi over the moon to make Olympic squad after Inter Miami breakthrough

Speaking to Inter Miami’s official website, the 19-year-old midfielder shared his joy and pride in making the US’s Olympic team, with Cremaschi likely to play a starring role for the Stars and Stripes out there in France this summer.

Cremaschi said on his call-up for the US Olympic squad: “Being named to the Olympic team means a lot to me and my family. It’s a major tournament, so the fact that I can be there and represent the USA, the country that I was born and raised in, is huge for me.

“The first thing I did was call my family, my dad teared up a bit, and my whole family was super happy. What I’m looking forward to the most at the Olympics is competing and trying to get as far as possible, trying to bring back a medal. Our goal is to try and win it all.

“I’d tell the young kids that look up to me to enjoy, to work hard and focus on what they can control and never put their heads down, always keep on working with your chest high.”

Cremaschi can become a worldwide name away from Inter Miami this summer

Cremaschi has made huge waves in the last 12 months in MLS, with the Florida-born midfielder establishing himself as one of the most exciting talents in the league and a key player for Inter Miami.

And this summer at the Olympics, Cremaschi could become a worldwide name in soccer if he can perform for the US, with America easily bringing one of the most exciting squads to the competition.

Indeed, Cremaschi’s future is certainly set on Europe given how fast the midfielder is developing, and the Inter Miami star could have a summer to remember if he performs for Mitrovic in the Olympics.
