Zelensky’s Revenge: Ukraine Sabotages Mariupol Railway Used by Russians to Transport Military Equipment and Troops to War Frontline

The revenge for the devastating Russian missile strike on Ukraine continues as partisans of the resistance guerilla group Atesh sabotaged a key railway line used by Russian forces to transport military equipment and troops to the frontlines.

Knewz.com has learned that the saboteurs burned down the relay cabinet of the railway line connecting the Russian city of Rostov-on-Don and the war-torn Ukrainian city of Mariupol.

Atesh partisans have been carrying out clandestine reconnaissance and sabotage missions in Russia and occupied Crimea, often secretly capturing photos of Russian military elements.

The resistance group reported that they sabotaged the railway line near the Russian city of Shakhty on Tuesday, July 9.

The official Atesh Telegram channel reported the sabotage, saying, "Our agent burned a relay cabinet on the Rostov-on-Don – Mariupol railway. This time near the village of Shakhty."

"This is one of the main railway lines in the region, linking Russia and the Donetsk region of Ukraine... actively used to transport military equipment and personnel to the combat zone."

The report was accompanied by video footage of the operation showing Atesh partisans setting fire to the relay cabinet of the key railway line.

The city of Rostov-on-Don bears substantial significance for the Russian military, as the region houses the headquarters of the Southern Military District commanding the 58th Combined Arms Army—the faction of the Russian military that formed the primary line of defense against the Ukrainian counteroffensive.

The city was also one of the key logistical hubs when the Russian invasion commenced in 2022.

It is worth noting that this is the second time Atesh saboteurs targeted the Russian military railway system in July alone, as members of the resistance group blew up a railway line near the Russian city of Yekaterinburg that was part of the trans-Siberian railway on July 5.

The partisan group wrote in their report of the attack that the railway line was used by Russian forces to transport ammunition from North Korea and warned that they would keep blowing it up as long as Russia keeps using it for this purpose.

Atesh said in a statement that a Russian agent working for the partisan movement was responsible for the sabotage, it was reported. The resistance group added that the Russian saboteur refused to accept rewards for carrying out the operation as he said he did it for "ideological reasons."

Regarding the latest operation, Atesh wrote that the sabotage is part of its revenge on Russia for launching a volley of missiles – including the difficult-to-intercept Kinzhal hypersonic missiles – on Ukraine, causing nationwide death and destruction and unfolding horror at the largest children's hospital in the nation.

The missile strike blew out windows and doors of the 10-story main building of the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital in Kyiv, leaving walls blackened and blood splattered on the floor. A partially collapsed two-story wing of the facility left rescuers in a desperate search for survivors under the rubble.

"The [Russian soldiers] should not relax for a minute, our revenge for your criminal actions will be scary," the resistance guerilla group wrote in their latest report.

"We continue to fight the [Russian forces] with all our might. And the number of our sabotage will become more and more every day."
