Baba Vanga, a blind clairvoyant also known as the “Nostradamus of the Balkans”, has been dead for nearly a decade but her legacy lives on through her followers and the prophecies she has made.
Knewz.com has learned that among the woman from Bulgaria’s many predictions, she also claimed that the end of times would commence in 2025.
Also known as Vangeliya Pandeva Gushterova, the clairvoyant is said to have predicted the terrorist attacks of 9/11, former U.S. president Barack Obama’s ascension to power, and the Ukraine war, along with a multi-century timeline of events waiting to befall the Earth.
Along with the purported beginning of the apocalypse scheduled for 2025, she claimed that humanity would start exploring Venus as an alternative energy source in 2028.
She also had insights on climate change and is reported to have claimed that the polar ice caps would melt by 2033 resulting in the globe's sea levels rising dramatically.
Having died at the age of 85 (in 1996), she lived through the Cold War and the vice-like authoritarian rule of Russia. As a nod to the latter, her prognosis for the year 2076 was a dark one.
She predicted that during this year communism would consume not only Europe but countries around the world.
It would appear that she believed in aliens too and predicted that by 2130, humanity would make contact with an extraterrestrial species.
By the year 2170, she noted, humanity would experience a major climate event in the form of a megadrought that would ravage most of the world.
In the year 3005, following humanity’s contact with aliens – and perhaps a nod to Space X mogul Elon Musk’s aspirations of setting up on Mars – she predicted that Planet Earth would go to war with a colony or civilization on the red planet.
Baba Vanga stated that 792 years later, humanity would abandon Earth completely as it would become uninhabitable.
Only by the year 5079 will the world see the completion of its destruction that supposedly begins in 2025.
Notably, the soothsayer is also reported to have predicted the Earth’s destruction in 2023; the causes were supposed to be a solar storm, biowarfare, and a nuclear fallout.
Despite this, numerous outlets claim that the long-gone psychic still has followers who hold onto her words due to predictions that have come to fruition.
According to the Bulgarian News Agency, the semi-literate woman foresaw and predicted the Chernobyl nuclear meltdown in 1986, the exact date of Joseph Stalin’s death, and “an African-American as the 44th President of the United States, ” among other things.
During her time alive she was said to astound people of different trades and ethnicities with her knowledge and advice.
The publication quoted a Hungarian professor of culture and anthropology, Ivaylo Dichev, saying that Baba Vanga was “not just a local cult but a global sensation.”
