Your boyfriend could be lying if he shows a common behavior, says dating coach

Nobody wants to be with a cheater. Although we all make less-than-stellar choices in relationships, being stuck in one that lacks commitment and loyalty can be extremely difficult.

As with the new dating trend Tolyamory, people are seeking romance outside their marriage. Ironically, what is seen as a dealbreaker otherwise becomes the reason for couples to stay together in the unconventional arrangement.

Dating coach explains the characteristics of a loyal boyfriend

Dating coach Stephen from Stephen Speaks outlines one behavior that defines loyalty in man – his willingness to show up.

A partner who is serious about you treats you as a priority and ensures you get his or her undivided time and attention. Most importantly, “he sticks by his words,” the dating coach says.

A man who is steadfast in his convictions doesn’t mind taking accountability when he fails to show up. He will also make up for your lost time.

He further explains that such men are ready to work hard to bring about a change in their lives and prove themselves to you when they commit mistakes.

Last but not least, the reliability factor also determines if he’s loyal. Stephen says if you’re too independent, “doing everything on your own”, without taking any help from your partner, you will never know if the other is reliable.

Tell-tale sign of a liar

Being cheated on or betrayed can stir different kinds of emotions and it’s best to talk it out with your therapist, best friends, or a good support group. ‘

If you suspect your partner of cheating, the dating coach discusses some common behaviors of “lying and disloyal” men.

One of the biggest signs of a man who is a pathological liar is his inconsistency with details. His narratives don’t add up because he can’t keep up with his lies. “Pay attention to their ability to be consistent with their stories,” Stephen says.
