Top-Secret Flavor of White Mystery Airheads Revealed + It’s Genius

Airheads

The top-secret flavor of the white mystery Airhead has been revealed, and it’s actually pretty genius.

For most of us, we can remember a childhood full of good times and candy. One of the ’90s candy staples in America were Airheads.

Everyone has their favorite color / flavor of Airheads, and then there’s that pesky white mystery airhead.

You go to the store and want to grab a few Airheads. Do you go with your go-to flavor? Or, do you risk everything on God’s green Earth and creation, pick up a white mystery Airhead and hope and pray for the best?

If your answer was the latter, boy, are you in for a major upheaval. You see, since it’s inception in 1993, the flavor of the white mystery Airhead has been just that, a mystery.

A secret so guarded, it could have quite possibly been kept at Fort Knox.

What Flavor Are the White Mystery Airheads?

The creation is actually a brilliant example of marketing and business efficiency.

Airheads’ White Mystery flavor isn’t actually a single, signature flavor. It’s a combination of several Airheads flavors that might include cherry, strawberry, watermelon, grape, green apple, orange and blue raspberry from one day to the next.

You will never bite into a white mystery Airhead and taste the same exact flavor composition.

Here is the most genius part of the whole thing. Airheads doesn’t have to stop production in between creating different flavors. Instead of pausing and cleaning the machines between rounds of different flavors, it keeps on churning out candies but withholds the food dye so that the candies turn out white.

So the mystery flavors are essentially mashups of whichever flavors are being produced at any given time.

It has certainly kept people guessing for last 31 years, but it’s like a never ending merry-go-round of guessing, as the white mystery flavor is actually a rotating mystery that is always changing.

Maybe that’s what keeps us going back to the store for more.
