Oregon pulled off arguably the biggest win on the recruiting trail this cycle on Thursday, beating out Texas, LSU and Ohio State for Duncanville (Texas) Five-Star Plus+ wide receiver Dakorien Moore.

Moore, the No. 3 overall prospect in the On3 Industry Ranking, becomes the third five-star commitment for Dan Lanning and Co. in the 2025 class. The addition of the 5-foot-11, 186-pounder also bumps the Ducks up once more in the On3 Industry Team Recruiting Rankings.

Jumping LSU and Georgia, Oregon now owns the No. 3 class in the nation, behind just Ohio State and Alabama. The Ducks inked a top-three class last signing day and are now on pace to do the same once more come December.

“I love how open I can be when I’m out there. Their uniforms and their style, they’re just different. It’s unique, and it’s not really comparable to any other school I’m looking at. I just think they have great coaches in general,” Moore said of Oregon at the On3 Elite Series in May.

Ducks continue to rake in top talent

The summer continues to treat the Ducks well on the recruiting trail. Moore is the second five-star commitment within the last week for Lanning and Co. On June 29, Conroe (Texas) five-star cornerback Dorian Brew shocked the masses by announcing his pledge.

Tampa Bay Tech five-star WR Dallas Wilson has been in the class since Jan. 17, 2023. Wilson is the No. 26 overall prospect and No. 5 WR in the nation, while Brew checks in at No. 29 overall and No. 4 at CB.

Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei four-star running back Jordon Davison and Derby (Kan.) four-star tight end DaSaahn Brame are both top-100 recruits who also committed at the end of June. Both are also top-five players at their respective positions.

San Diego Lincoln four-star quarterback Akili Smith Jr. is now the No. 9 signal-caller in the nation. The Elite 11 finalist has continued to see his stock rise ahead of his senior season. Smith and Mater Dei four-star linebacker Nasir Wyatt are both just outside the top 100 overall in the On3 Industry Ranking.

Two other blue-chip receivers flank Moore and Wilson in the class in Lee’s Summit (Mo.) North four-star Isaiah Mozee and Scottsdale (Ariz.) Notre Dame Prep four-star Cooper Perry. Both are top-250 recruits and the No. 2 prospects in their home state.

Belleville (Ill.) Althoff Catholic four-star athlete commit Dierre Hill was another top RB target for the Ducks, while Owings Mills (Md.) McDonogh four-star ATH Brandon Finney is another recent June addition. Both are top-200 recruits.

Tampa Sumner four-star offensive tackle Ziyare Addison is the No. 15 OT in the nation. Sacramento Folsom four-star defensive lineman Josiah Sharma is a top-100 prospect in the 2025 On300.
