Incoming Duke freshman Cooper Flagg recently made some noise in Las Vegas as a member of the Olympic Select Team. Squaring off against Team USA and standing out as the only non-NBA player on the court in a scrimmage that turned plenty of heads when footage of Flagg’s performance surfaced on social media. From three-point shots off the dribble with Anthony Davis guarding him, to put-back and-one buckets at the rim, Flagg was seemingly doing it all against the NBA’s top players. A roster that consisted of several former league MVPs, NBA Champions, and some of the greatest players of all time. On...

Cooper Flagg is already turning heads for the USA Select Team. In an interview with ESPN, head coach Jamahl Mosley, who is also the Orlando Magic’s head coach, raved about the 17-year-old standout. “I hadn’t been around him, so just meeting him and talking to him the first day in practice the other day, you can just see the quiet confidence that he carries with himself,” Mosley said. “His ability to know what he’s capable of doing, but also the humility of knowing, ‘OK, I’m still trying to figure some of these things out at this level,’ but he’s not afraid of it. And that’s what, that’s one th...

On Friday evening, Houston Astros outfielder Joey Loperfido defied physics. In the bottom of the eighth inning of the Astros’ win over the Minnesota Twins, Loperfido robbed a two-run homer at the right field fence. While reaching over the fence and snagging the ball would have been impressive, Loperfido took the highlight play a step further. Loperfido hauled the ball in with his glove only for it to pop out when his hand hit the fence. Instead of giving up on the play, Loperfido caught the ball with his bare hand. This story will be updated. The post Joey Loperfido makes all-time highlight re...

Like most North Carolina greats, some of the most memorable games for Armando Bacot are wins against Duke. Bacot helped the Tar Heels take down their bitter rival twice in 2021-22, including during the final home game for legendary Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski. The 6-foot-11 big man recalled the mindset going into that matchup on a recent appearance on the Run You Race podcast. The Tar Heels entered riding a four-game winning streak but were still on the NCAA Tournament bubble. However, coach Hubert Davis found a way to motivate his squad heading into the contest, which was set to be an e...
